Ceramics on 6 is a small studio based in Milnerton Cape Town. At Ceramics on 6 we teach hand building techniques such as making pinch-pots, coiling, slabbing, and using slump molds. With these techniques you can make both sculptural and functional pieces.Our Classes are suitable for beginners onwards.

Ceramics on 6 was founded in early 2018 by 

Anne-Marie Rosenstein. Anne-Marie did Ceramics and Art as a child but went on to major in sculpture, with Stained Glass, Painting and Ceramics as other subjects, at Nelson Mandela University from 1994-96. Anne-Marie worked in Sculpture for a short while and then went on to work in the comic industry for many years while attending Ceramic Classes. On rediscovering Clay, she says "it was like coming home" and having her own studio and starting teaching classes was a natural progression. Anne-Marie is passionate about both her teaching and creating her own pieces whether for herself or commissioned.
